مشابه للحامل L، يأتي حامل Up-Down بإصبعين يُثبَّتان للأعلى والأسفل أو لليمين واليسار، مما يتيح تثبيته داخل شق في الحجر بدلاً من ثقب دبوس. وهذا مفيد خصوصاً للألواح الأرق والحجر الأكثر ليونة.
